ⓘ Freddie Mercury Alley in Warsaw

Freddie Mercury Alley is located between Noijis Alley and Kawalerii Street in Warsaws district Ujazdow. The plaque with its name was unveiled 22nd November 2019. The location of Mercurys Alley is not accidental because it is located near the Embassy of Great Britain, which is the country where the musician grew up. The streets of John Lennon and George Harrison are also nearby. The originator of the project was Piotr Otrebski, and the idea itself was supported by the Polish Queen Funclub. Until February 24, 2020, Warsaw was the only city in Europe with a street dedicated to Mercury. On this day in Feltham, London, a street called "Freddie Mercury Close" was opened on the street where the musician grew up.
